In St Barbara’s chapel the painter has pictured the following scenes from her life; on the right side, she is being tortured by her father; on the left, she is saving a sick person from the flames; in two minor wall pictures she is praying in the catacombs and in goal; the Savior appears to her. In the altar-picture she is beheaded by her father. In the ceiling-piece: her ascension. By the entrace of the chapel there are two allegories: Innocence and Perseverance. On the table of the black-marble altar is the picture of St Joachim, St Anna and St maria, by Langus. The two statues to the left and the right of the altar represent St Lucia and St Agnes.
